On June 21st 2022, an IoT Bootcamp session was conducted for AITAM college students and professionals interested in learning more about the Internet of Things through the IoT Center of Excellence established by ERAINTERFACES. The event was a huge success, with attendees gaining valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in building and programming IoT devices.
The bootcamp started with an introduction to IoT, covering the definition of IoT, examples of IoT devices and applications, and key technologies and protocols used in IoT. This was followed by a session on IoT hardware, where attendees learned about different types of microcontrollers and single-board computers, as well as sensors and actuators. They also had the opportunity to build a simple IoT device using a microcontroller and sensors.
In the IoT software session, attendees learned about programming languages for IoT and how to set up a development environment. They also wrote a simple program to control an IoT device. The day continued with a session on IoT data management, where attendees learned about storing and analyzing IoT data using cloud services, as well as data visualization tools. They had the chance to visualize IoT data using a cloud service and data visualization tool.
The final sessions of the bootcamp focused on IoT security and advanced IoT applications. Attendees learned about the security challenges in IoT and best practices for securing IoT devices and networks. They also heard about advanced IoT technologies such as machine learning and edge computing, and saw case studies of real-world IoT applications.
Overall, the IoT Bootcamp at AITAM College was a great success, with attendees gaining valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in the field of IoT. We would like to thank all of the attendees for their participation and look forward to hosting more events like this in the future.
